Caring Touch

Are you caring for an older person or someone living with an illness or disability?

Join us for our two-part workshop series and discover how the power of touch can nurture both you and the person you care for.

1. Workshop, May 2, 2026, 10.30 am-12.30 pm: Self-supportive touch for carers Learn mindful, self-soothing touch and self-massage techniques to ease stress and tension, support regulation and relaxation, and deepen somatic awareness.

2. Workshop, May 16, 2026, 10.30 am-12.30 pm: Caring touch to support others Explore gentle touch and massage techniques to offer comfort, enhance connection and improve quality of life for the people you care for.

In addition to these two nurturing workshops, you will receive handouts and access to video resources to help you:

  • Explore your sense of touch
  • Regulate in moments of stress
  • Ease physical and emotional tension
  • Become more aware of your body, and
  • Feel more present.

Refreshments and massage balm will be provided.

Where: Allwood Neighbourhood House, 901 Heidelberg Kinglake Road, Hurstbridge

Cost for the two-part workshop series: $40 (one ticket covers both workshops), If you would like to attend but cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
